It may not come as a surprise that the clients I work with want some kind of change in their life.

Feeling like change is possible – can be hard to buy in to.

Especially when you are operating from survival mode.

In survival mode, you react to life’s events with a negative mindset.

Stress levels are high and energy levels low.

Combine this with lack of energy recovery, it’s unsurprising you might feel like there just isn’t enough in the tank.⛽🪫

Our overall sense of daily struggle can feel amplified and make any kind of change you desire – feel like a non-starter.

That’s why when you are seeking any kind of change in your life, first pay attention to your energy.

Better manage your 4 energy types with these quick tips:

1. Physical energy😴 (The quantity of our energy)
➡️To support recovery and renewal of your physical energy,
start taking breaks every 90 minutes. 
➡️Even stepping away from work for 5 minutes several times across the day pays off.

2. Mental energy 🧠 (The focus of our energy)
➡️Just STOP with the multi-tasking. No one wins. 
➡️Avoid the marathons and instead operate like a sprinter.
➡️Do the most important thing first at the start of the day.
➡️Set yourself a timer for focussed attention e.g. 30-60 mins

3. Emotional energy ❣️(The quality of our energy)
➡️Start to notice your emotions across the day. 
➡️When you have feelings of negativity, instead of acting on what you might feel compelled to do – take a step back and breathe. 
➡️Wait until you feel better and are feeling calmer, before acting. 

4. Spiritual energy ⁉️ (The purpose of our energy)
➡️It’s easy when under pressure to impulsively do the thing
that produces a short-term gain without regard for the longer-term impact. 
➡️If we want to live a more meaningful and purposeful life, we need to learn to slow down and pause.
➡️Get intentional with your decisions
➡️Ask yourself what is the right thing *for you* to do?
