These are examples of behaviours that are rooted in comparison.
As we kick off this new year, it’s easy to feel a wave of *shoulds* wash over you and find yourself ruminating and self-pressuring to be > to do and to have.
Social comparison can be healthy and helpful, but when it’s not, it can result in us having a pretty negative outlook about ourselves and our lives, more than we might like to admit.
Life has enough challenges without comparison creating a pile on.
It’s like, putting your hand on a stove, just to check if it’s hot and waiting for the inevitable pain take hold.
Raising awareness of our triggers and behaviours is the first step to shifting out of unhealthy comparison.
Tiny habits can create enough of a shift, to lift your mood and help you get on and get through the day feeling lighter and more positive.
